I have a customer that has Server R2 Essentials and tried upgrading Sage 50 Accounts and it comes up with an incompatible Operating System error I know there is a Sage work-around but the customer still asked for an edition upgrade. So, I need to upgrade this version to standard.

I went to my supplier and essentia,s offered Server Standard. I have seen upgrades possible for R2 from Essentials to Standard which are straight forward, or R2 X edition to X edition again straight forward. I think I need to install the upgrade to Essentials and then from Essentials to Standard.

Has anyone tried downloac and am I serfer the right track? And is there anything I should be aware of when changing editions? THis is a diversion point.
